Gary hails from Nashua, NH and has lived in Portland, ME since 1990. During the last fifteen years, Gary has operated a highly successful law practice in Portland, however, he has always maintained a strong passion for hockey.
Gary attended and played hockey at Middlebury College (graduate of 1983) and went on to graduate from Franklin Pierce Law School (1988). He also spent a significant amount of time studying Sports and Entertainment law at Boston College under renowned sports and entertainment scholar Professor Robert Berry. He maintains a strong relationship with both schools and is on the outside Admissions Board Committee for each institution.
Gary has been a successful and regionally recognized hockey coach for the past 25 years. He has been voted hockey coach of the year and remains the “winning-est” hockey coach in the history of both Deering and Kennebunk High Schools, leading Kennebunk to a Western Maine Class B Title in 1998. Gary is a Level Four certified USA hockey coach who for the past ten years has been the Assistant General Manager for Team Northern New England, an all star regional team that competes in a national showcase tournament in Chicago each year.
In addition to coaching, Gary has also been advising and representing professional athletes, including coaches and players, for over fifteen years. Some of his clients include former NHL, AHL, and Junior hockey players and coaches. In his fifteen years of representing athletes and coaches, Gary has been able to achieve extensive alliances with individuals playing, coaching, or scouting Professional, Junior, and Collegiate level hockey.
Gary has an impressive record of building strong relationships with his clients and their families and assisting them with developing and executing personal and professional goals.
